| He's batting only .250 against RHPs, but .380 against LHPs. If you go
back before 2004, he did indeed bat much better against LHPs., But in
2004 and 2006 he batted about even with both, and strangely, in 2005,
he batted awful against LHPs (.236). Is there any meaning to this
stat?

Yes, it means that certain narrowly focused stats have virtually no
meaning.

There is a problem of a small data set. Not all LHPs are easy for
RHBs, etc., so we need a lot of data to sort out that stuff. Still, I
had noticed and puzzled over those numbers. I think there probably is
more than just noise. One guess is that Manny falls into patterns with
his pitch guesses, and those patterns show up sometimes against LHP
