Let's hope we play better than .500 on this road trip. I'm semi-optimistic.
Foulke should be back soon, we won't have to face Kazmir, Huff is out of
their lineup. Lester is pitching well. The rest of our starters have been
atrocious recently, but you never know.

The starting pitching has picked a bad time to go south (is there a good
time Smile but Shill can right the ship in a hurry. Still the problems with
Beckett are a worry. This is not turning into a short term thing. It looks
more and more like the league is seeing something in his delivery or pitch
selection that they find likeable.

Beckett and Clement were suppose to be the difference makers that would keep
the team a WS threat in what was essentially a rebuilding year (right
Theo?). That's not happening.

Still, the Sox have one good schedule run in them before the play-offs.
Catching the Yankees is going to be tough since they seem to be picking up
steam and their starting pitching is now their strength. All their injuries
may have been a benefit since they have a bunch of role players who don't
get freaked under the pressure (who pitches tough to Miguel Cairo?). But
when all the high price guns come back in September they may falter as they
readjust to new line-up changes.

Ok, I'm whistling passed the grave yard....
