I was one of the Nathan-contract-nay-sayers. It wasn't that I didn't
like Nathan. It was that I thoguht he was too expensive for the value
that the Twins would get out of him. Recall that Neshek was healthy
then.
But I am loving the fact that he is still a Twin this year. I am
surprised that you, of all people, have not made mention of this
interesting statistic: Joe Nathan has gone to the mound 26 times in
his career against the Tigers, in save situations. He has come away
with 26 saves. He's perfect against them.
