| Why are the media banging on wether or not Selig will be "there" when Bonds
hits the record ? Was there a commissioner present when Hank set the record
? Is Selig supposed to know what day he will hit it ? - is it fixed ?

I bet whoever was commissioner at the time was there for Aaron's
record setting hr.
Of course he won't know what day he will hit it. You really aren't
that stupid, are you? He will do what happened when McGwire hit his
record setting hr., he will aattend each Giants' game until it
happens. >> Stay informed about: Commissioner question |

It was Bowie Kuhn, and I'll take that bet. >> Stay informed about: Commissioner question |

Does that mean Bowie wasn't there? If so, I am very surprised. >> Stay informed about: Commissioner question |

Doesn't surprise me at all. The same with the ball from the last out of the
WS. Nobody knows where most of them are from previous series - but the Sox
made a big deal out of Minky's. >> Stay informed about: Commissioner question |

yes
"Along with Kuhn's bumpy reign came a string of controversial decisions.
"When Hank Aaron hit his 715th home run to break Babe Ruth's career
record in 1974, Kuhn was not in the stands. Kuhn had been at the game
when Aaron hit No. 714."

I was wrong. As was Bowie. He should have been there. I even think
that Selig should be there for Bonds, as distasteful as it may be. >> Stay informed about: Commissioner question |
