I'm in a 16 team 6x6 league with 25 man rosters that include 10 keepers per
team. I couldn't bring myself to draft any of the not-terrible catchers
(LoDuca, Piazza, etc) available early in the draft. Ended up with Jason
LaRue, Brian Schneider, and Javier Valentin. I'm looking to find a
sleeper-type to pick up and drop LaRue or Valentin (or both, if I can find
someone that is going to play a lot ). Any suggestions? Keep in mind most
or all of the respectable guys are taken, leaving the likes of Zaun,
Lieberthal, Hall, Estrada, etc. If anyone has any suggestions - even
hunches or guesses, it would be appreciated.

Could always go with Guilly Quiroz of Toronto, a pretty good prospect. Jeff
Mathis of the Angels is good enough that they let go of a Molina. Are Ryan
Doumit, Brian McCann, or Josh Willingham gone?

Quiroz and Mathis are available. Doumit, McCann and Willingham were all
snapped up pretty fast. I may scoop Mathis and hope that he outplays Molina
enough to take over the main catching duties.

Thanks,

Chris

LaRue just had surgery, and Valentin is suppoed to get the nod over Ross for
the first few weeks.

Zaun hit great in Toronto last year, and will probably get a start or two
each week over Molina...plus PH and DH possibly.

Lieberthal and Estrada are both okay catchers that will get 100-120 starts.

What about McCann for the Braves?

In a 16 team league, 2 catchers er team, Leiberthal or Estrada are pretty
good waiver wire options.
