Man, what Marlins fans there are must be pissed. What is the point of
even being a fan if you've got an idiot for an owner and you can't keep
any players? And they wonder why no one goes to games.

Just wait.... They're not done yet!! The only Marlin's anyone will
know in spring training will be Cabrera, and Willis, and that's only
because they don't make sqat and are not up for arbitration yet.

mort, youre an idiot. Smile if you have a business that is not drawing
enough customers, do you reduce the quality and hope more show? aint
gonna happen.

they need to build a new stadium (with a lot of their own money) or
sell the team to someone that will build a stadium...if they sell the
team for market value the new owner will be able to afford a stadium.

Mort, remember these are the same idiots that destroyed baseball in
montreal.....

This has got to be the worst time for the Marlins but Loria is playing
his cards impressively.
If the state of Florida and the City of Miami won't give the Marlins
the stadium they deserve (two world series in the past ten years, only
surpassed by the yankees who have three), Loria is going to threaten to

move the team elsewhere if he doesn't get the stadium he wants. He is
going to put up over $200 million and the Florida won't contribute $70
million. There is something deeper happening and the Marlin Nation
won't find out until the team has officially moved. But I think it is
a scare tactic, he won't really move the team. It will be interesting
to see if Loria gets his stadium now.

It's the other way around. If enough people went to games, they
wouldn't have to sell off players.

but history can be a good predictor of the future....lets drive these
owners out before they destroy baseball here as they did in
montreal...I dont think there is any place for them to go, no other
city is giving in to their demands for a stadium
