I went to three games between the Sacramento River Cats and the Salt Lake
Stingers this week in Sacramento. I always like to see the best prospects,
so I was looking forward to seeing McPherson and Kotchman. McPherson played
in all three games, but Kotchman didn't play in any. He's listed as being
on the roster on the Salt Lake Stingers website, and it doesn't say he's on
the DL. I did a Lexis Nexis search on the Salt Lake Tribune and found he
sat out a game on July 5 because of a sore wrist, but I didn't find anything
that explained his absence from the lineup this week. Does anyone know why
he isn't playing?

Yeh, I'd trade him for RJ at this point in time. Unit really wants to come
to Å-heim, even tho they may not meet his requirement of "playoff lock." I'd
throw in that catcher Mathis if the re-structured contract for Unit was
right, but that's tops, no MacPherson or Weavers or anymore. >> Stay informed about: Where's Casey Kotchman |

Where'd you hear this? I've heard that he DOESN'T want to come to
Anaheim. That he's only interested in the Yankees (and, since the
Yankees farm system is empty, that ain't gonna happen).

XTRA in LA/SD has been reporting that both front offices are discussing this
again, and that Kotchman, Shields, and ROrtiz are now the names on the
table. Ofcourse, the big issue is how much of Unit's contract is DBacks
gonna pick up.

Don't YOU want the Unit in Ånaheim, Jeannie? >> Stay informed about: Where's Casey Kotchman |

Ever since he signed with the DBacks and the Angels ended up with the
booby prize--Mo Vaughn.
As long as his knee holds out, of course.
