Laura Vecsey had been behaving herself lately, but today's column,
advocating a trade for Mike Cameron, is riduclous. He's built a career
around one good 3/4 season, and one great game. He's a .250 hitter,
moderate power at best, and never lived up to potential. He makes some
great, highlight-reel catches, but he's not Ichiro.

Why the love affair with a mediocre dude?

It's much more common in the NFL than in baseball, but Cameron seems to
be one of those guys that once people got it in their heads that he was
a good player, it just couldn't be shaken, despite all evidence to the
contrary. For further reference, see Christian Guzman (some people are
just now finally figuring that one out).
