The Astros just acquited Morgan Ensbergs replacement. Ty Wiggington.
They gave up Dan Wheelerto Tampa Bay, butDan has a home down there so
its good for him, and Dan is reunited with Jim Hickey.

Hopefully The Astros can get a starter now for Ensberg.

Maybe a starter who won't give up 11 runs in the first inning.

You would have thought they could have gotten at least a bag of balls
for him.

Or even a Stretch Suba bobble-head.

That's the idea of designating him for assignment, they will try to
trade him within 10 days.

The irony is that he's hitting moderately well in July and has an OPS
of over 1.000 since the All-Star Game.

No demand for a weak hitting 3rd baseman drawing 4.3 million.
No one will trade forhim when they can get him for less than free
after 10 days.

Now after he's released someone could sign him for the $400K minimum,
prorated at $150K for the rest of the year and have the Astros pay the
other $1..6 million due him.
