Yeah I know, its still too early in the year!
Brewers going to the top of the 9th, losing against NY Mets 2-4. All the
Mets need is to get out of the inning without too much problem and beat the
Brew Crew.
That will be the Brewers 3rd loss in a row!

I agree it's early and maybe this year they will start slow and be hot at
the end,
having said that, don't you have same feeling of this team as last years?
They are still not a "clutch" team, they don't get clutch hit or make clutch
pitch or defensive play, especially on the road. Only good thing may be that
if they keep losing Attanacio may finally have to pull plug on Nedley.

I was grocery shopping from 1:10pm until 3:15 pm...therefore I had no
connection with the Brewers game. They were losing 2-1 when I got out of the
car. When I got back, news was on WTMJ, so I tuned to Tim Allen and Sparky
doing the Brewers Postgame show on WSSP when I learned that Sheets got teh
win, Gagne got the Save. It sounds like Gagne managed to get out of the
inning without giving up a run.

I agree with you there. I rather they don't start out like last year and
either win most of the series games of 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 4, etc.. with
a couple of sweeps here and there. But please don't do 24-10. 19-15 would be
fine and above .500.
You are right, its best to be hot at the end when it is most needed in case
you are either ahead or close.

Yeah they are lacking a bit of defense.

How can anyone not see that over the last three years the Brewers have
become the clutch team behind (I love the name) Nedly. I have faith the
teams will clutch a dozen or two before the seasons over. But I always
believed it was the second half that did the Crew in, last years
improvements removing any doubt that any line up and the core group of Hall,
Prince, J.J. Braun, Weeks and Heart will win a lot of games. To quote Nedly
himself, "Ya, it was huge, ya, huge." >> Stay informed about: Brewers Losing Again! |

The second half or better still July/August meltdown was due mostly to a
fading bullpen. If Nedley thought that was due to overuse, he sure is
making up for it with Derrick "Splinters" Turnbow. Problem is, the lack
of innings can be just as detrimental. >> Stay informed about: Brewers Losing Again! |
