Archived from groups: alt>sports>baseball>az-diamondbacks (more info?)

Last week, every time I tuned into a D-Backs game on the radio, I got Jeff
Munn, and on TV, I got Greg Schulte. Brenneman was nowhere to be found.

I have to confess that thanks to a busy schedule, I never heard the
beginnings of any of those games, so I haven't the foggiest clue if
Brenneman's absence was explained. Last night, I noticed he was back on
TV, in the booth with Joe G. Sr.

Did Brenneman's wife have another baby? Or was he ill? Or was something
else going on?

Anybody know?

Thom is off every local Friday and Saturday broadcast -- unless he's
assigned to cover a FOX network broadcast of a DBacks game (as if) --
because of the aforementioned network commitment. (As penance, he has to
cover for Schulte on every weekday afternoon home radio broadcast -- no TV
on weekday afternoon home dates -- while Greg takes the day off.)

Dunno if he missed any of the Expos games, though. Hasn't been anything
about a personal issue with Brenneman in the papers, on the radio or on the
'net that I've run across, so maybe he just decided to skip the trip out of
the country.

Yeah, I know about that. But he wasn't present for Sunday's game (Schulte
and Grace did that one--coulda been a transportation snafu) and I'm pretty
sure he wasn't around on Thursday or Wednesday of last week, either.
