The Oakland A's are coming to town for a
four game series. With the Sox on a 7 game
winning streak, as I wrote before this is a
critical.

The Pride of Chicago then goes to Kansas
City and Texas for 6 games before the All-Star
break and returns to the 35th Street Palace
to play the Royals and the Rangers. They us
pray for 20+ game winning streak.

I'm hoping the Sox can get a split at least. Taking extra innings to
beat the Tribe doesn't install a whole lot of confidence.

I'm hoping for at least a split of the Oakland series against this very good
A's team. Tonight will be a huge test as the A's are throwing Duchsherer
(sp?), who leads the AL in E.R.A. and has dominated Sox hitters out of their
bullpen for 2 of the past 3 seasons (I believe he was injured last year),
while we are throwing Vasquez who has had 2 consecutive rough starts. We'll
need a reversal of fortune tonight to take game one of this 4 game series.

If we keep playing as well as we have, we might take 3 out of 4 from
Oakland, and that would be great. I think it's way too early to look beyond
any series, let alone start counting up 20+ game win streaks.

Let's just cheer for the Sox to win tonight!

Agreed--the A's are tough--excellent pitching.
Let's hope Vasquez can get it back together tonight.

Hell of a game. Too bad the Sox lost, but they were facing the
toughest pitcher in the league. Tough three days; Lee, Sabathia and
Ducherer.

Make that "they us pray for a series split" against Oakland now that we will
have to do it the hard way after losing the first 2 of 4. No point in
looking too far ahead right now!

Just win todays game.
It seems that Minnesota almost never loses.
