Post subject: Baseball Is Still America's National Pastime--MLB Attendance For 2007 A Record 70 Million (Approximately)
Archived from groups: alt>sports>baseball>tor-bluejays, others (more info?)

Millions more people attended minor league games

The Blue Jays, who had another mediocre season, had a big increase in
attendance.
For instance, on this afternoon's meaningless game at the Rogers's Center,
the attendance
(estimated) was about 35,000. Fans are obviously optimistic about next
year's team with
rookies and youngsters like Adam Lind, Curtis Thigpen, John Ford-Griffin,
Jesse Litsch, and others.
The Jays' pitiching has had MLB's lowest ERA for the last two months..
