1-1 GAME IN THE nenth, with the padres and twins tied. Hoffman comes in,
first batter K, second batter K, third batter HR, next pitch to fourth
batter Hr, next batter fly out, 3-1 twins. Nathan comes in, Strikes
out ADRIAN giants killer Gonzo, then gets Kouzmanoff on a long fly to
left center, and fineshes by getting Headley to line out hard to second.
Game over. Pads lose, Pads lose. Giants gain on all the teams in the N.L.
West. Thank you Mr. Nathan.

Apart from rooting for the Dodgers to lose, just on general principles, I
don't pay any attention to the standings in the NL West.

I mean, come on.

I think the way the NL west is playing its making the Giants more
interesting.

Nathan didn't do anything special; the Pads have the 2nd worst offense in
the entire majors, 29th in runs scored out of 30 teams. You should've
thanked Hoffman for giving away the game.

The winner of the NL West will still have an above .500 record, if only
slightly.

The Giants are not going to win as many as 82 games or even come close to
that. They'd have to go 49-36.

The Giants are, where nobody expected them to be this year. Okay, they
are not in first, but they are also not in last place and with the
closeness in the standings (West that is), they could make a move if
the pitching gels. That does not include the damn bullpen of course.

The way that Adrian Gonzo kills the giants, it was refreshing to see him
go down on strikes so easily. And by a right handed pitcher.

Yep you're right. If Nathan were in a Giants uniform, Gonzo would've killed
him.
