Let's assume that the attrition was effective with the end of the 2004
season. Is there anyone here who would rather have seen the end of the
franchise than having it move to DC?

I assume you're speaking of contraction (I mis-read it as "arbitration"
at first, with RICO on my mind) ...

Tough call. While I hate seeing the Expos leave Montreal in any case,
prefering contraction over relocation sounds to me like the selfish
little kid who, when told other kids want to change the rules, picks up
his toys and goes home.

I never saw contraction as a realistic possibility when there are other
cities willing to offer Selig and Co their backsides.
