Never, ever show the same shot for more than ten seconds
..
Miss at least part of the pitchers delivery because you are showing
managers nostrils or Fox celebrities.

At least once each game miss the start of an inning and pretend
that you did not miss it.

Show routine plays over and over while missing live play.

Make post season records interchangeable with World Series
records. Clutter the screen with graphics so we can't see how the
fielders are positioned

.. On Sunday if a Fox NFL game runs late extend the pre-game (or
the post-game football) show until it is over.

More important for viewers in two small markets to see all of their
football game then to make them miss the start of baseball.

Lie about starting time. Remember,5:00 ET really means 5:25 after
commercials and the Zelasco bimbo ( she can never be forgiven for her
treatment of Ernie Harwell).

And, because postseason baseball is all about character, two-thirds of
those shots must be tight closeups on players' faces. Cut away from the
personal drama to the action on the field only when the ball is in play,
and maybe not even then.

\] My choices are:

Hit the mute button and only listen when I need some details.
Hit the SAP button and listen in Spanish, my general
comprehension is poor but it beats listing to Fox.
Unplug the dish, hook up rabbit ears and accept a degraded picture
while listening to the radio. The satellite feed lags the radio by about
8 seconds.

FOX on cable with the receiver playing one of the local feeds on XM
Radio is my combination of choice. With an even greater delay for the
satellite radio uplink, that's a reverse lag -- you see it, and then a
few seconds later Harry Kalas (this year, anyway) will describe it.

Last year my wife asked me how I could stand the audio (Joe Castiglione,
mostly) being out of sync with the video, so I switched over to the FOX
audio for a few minutes. She said, I get it.

Or, if all that stuff bugs you, you're not in the target demographic.

Fox doesn't care about baseball fans. The coverage is focused people
with only a passing interest in baseball, and channel-surfers who are
just as likely to flick to the next channel.
