The "best offense in baseball" hasn't scored too many runs for Eaton...only
3 last night. He has pitched well. The Phils starting pitching is the
difference so far this season.

C Hamels 5 4 3.73
B Myers 3 6 5.52
J Moyer 6 3 4.65
A Eaton 2 3 4.63
K Kendrick 5 2 5
C Durbin 1 1 1.8
R Madson 1 0 3.6
B Lidge 1 0 0.72
C Condrey 1 0 4.56
T Gordon 4 2 4.18
R Seanez 3 3 2.57
J Romero 3 1 1.31
+++
Wonder how that looks.. ?
But, only 3 of the 5 starters have winning records; Hamels 5-4, Moyer 6-3,
Kendrick 5-2, the other two - Myers is 3-6 and "Stud Muffin" Eaton is 2-3.
I think the bullpen, then offense, then starting pitching, in that order, is
the reason the phillies sit atop.

Actually the Bullpen has been the difference this season, they have been the
best or near the top all season. >> Stay informed about: Adam Eaton - Super Stud |

Yep. The success definitely feels like it's in spite of the
starting pitching. Most wins to Moyer? Uh, he's supposed to be
the one who's keeping them in games, not winning them all. And,
yeah, Eaton's hasn't getting any run support.

Haha. Scared me for a second.

The Phils had offense last season, and in the second half had a good
bullpen. This season they have that and good starting pitching...not great,
but good. That is what I meant by "difference." I did not say they were in
first because of starting pitching.

Point taken.
No nightmarish Freddy Garcia story, etc. And yes, Eaton is better, isn't he?
Isn't he???

I still bite my lower lip when a batter reaches base against Eaton...we've
seen him implode too many times after the slightest setback.
