ARod is going to carry this team

If the Yankees are going anywhere near the post season that's what you have
to believe. Alex is going to get hot and carry the team for a while. I'll
be rooting for him in every at bat. When he fails I'll be disappointed just
as I am when any of the players fail in an important situation. He's not
any other player though. He's the guy that will have to take them to a WS.
They can't win one without him.

Torre said he still believes that Rodriguez is going to reach a point where
he "carries this ballclub on his back for a while," and A-Rod was heartened
to hear that.

"I feel very confident I can do that," he said. "I think I can do that

They have won dozens without him..... probably won't win another till
he leaves.....

I don't personally know Arod, but as a yankee fan I only know that he
has about four weeks to put the team on his shoulders, and carry them,
because if he does not, he is never going to recover. After this
fiasco, nothing short of a series victory is going to save his legacy.

Puhols carries the cards for weeks. Ortiz carries the Sox as well .
Arod rides the Yanks.....

He better get going soon. If/when he does, all the psuedo fans will
love him to death, but if he does not, they will tar and feather him.

All he really has to do is lighten up, relax, and play the game.

What I don't get is, how come Joe keeps rolling him out there at number
4? Always in the past, with other players, Torre moves them around,
takes the heat off someone slumping by putting them in the middle, and
sometimes in unbelievable slots. How come joey doesn't treat arod like
he does everyone else? Its only in a player's mind that going from
fourth to fifth higher is a demotion or something. It often helps the
players more than hurts them. The appearance is that Torre considers
Arod to be some special guy, and he seems unwilling to move him out of
cleanup, which I think is a huge mistake on a number of levels.
