Face it, $300,000,000.00 is only three weeks profits in the ship-
building industry......................

Cheerios..............

PS. Does anyone know why I keep saying Cheerios, when I really prefer
Corn Fakes?

If Manny finds his way on the Yanks you can bet on it. Hal has gone
paranoid this off season and suddenly has reverted to his old man's
spending ways.

I don't really mind, but damn, it's going to be scary in NY next
September if the Yanks are out of it. The spending has done nothing
but put insurmountable pressure on the team to not only make the
Playoffs, but win the WS. Which isn't to say this wasn't always the
case in NY. It's the norm. But if...IF the Yanks fail to reach the
post-season...or get knocked out in the first round again. Hal may
take a chainsaw to something.

Which frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing.

BTW, what obscene number is the luxury tax this season for the Yanks?

$13 million for Posada, $15 million for Mo -

$33 million now - The more he hits, the more Boras is gonna want. I bet if Arod was hitting .250 with 10 dingers, Boras would be all over the Yankees looking for an extension.

70 million - Buys you JD Drew. Vinnie S.

Where was the $18 Million Dollar Man?? - Myself and others have broached this subject in other posts last night, but unless he was "unavailable" after pitching Sunday, where in the hell was Farnsworth instead of Turdzte in the 8th with two on and one out? Was Torre afraid to burn him ...

4 homers and none from the 250 million man - In fact in 4 appearances ..not even a bunt. He makes Weaver look good.
