Maybe things are looking up - they've now had a winning record in June
and July, for the first time in God only knows.

Sorry to see them trade Dotel though. From what I read, he wanted to
stay here. Guess we gotta have that other starter though (no. 5 has
been a disaster all season).

Really? Would he have really wanted to stay after becoming a free agent
at the end of the season?

Davies got shelled in his last start for Atlanta before being sent to
the minors, and Davies got shelled in his first start for the Royals.
Then again, the Yankees have been shelling just about everybody lately,
save for that shutout the Royals threw at them in the K. So I'll
overlook that first start. He closes the series with the Twins, so
we'll get another evaluation shortly.

Who really knows? That's what he said in a Kansas City Star article I
read before he got traded. They were asking him about trade rumors, and
he said he hoped they didn't trade him, and he wanted to stay in KC.

Looked pretty good in that game. Pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings, and
picked up a win. Looks like he's up again tonight against Texas, so
we'll see.

That's the only game where he's looked good so far.
