Post subject: 2nd pick of the draft

I have the 2nd pick of the draft in a 5x5 ( obp instead of ba ) nl and al
keeper league.
Many players available this year, I am assuming arod will be the 1st pick of
the draft but i am contemplating who i should take with the 2nd pick.
It appears the players being kept will be:
Vlad Guerrero, Mark Prior, Javier Vazquez, Time Hudson, Joel Pineiro, Richie
Sexson, Barry Bonds, Scott Rolen, Carlos Beltran, Alfonso Soriano, Kerry
Wood, Randy Johnson, Jason Schmidt, Vernon Wells, and Carlos Delgado
So notable choices will be Albert Pujols, Pedro Martinez, Curt Schilling,
Sammy Sosa, Roy Halladay, Gary Sheffield, etc, etc
What would you do with this pick? I am leaning towards taking Pujols ...
Any input would be appreciated. |

| Well you don't mention who your keepers are. Are they both pitchers? Then
Pujols. Both hitters? Then Pedro.
One of each? Well you know your league better than I do, who gets snapped up
more quickly, elite hitters or elite pitchers? Depending on your answer, I'd
take one of the above.

You don't mention A-Rod in any of this. He wouldn't be a keeper? If not,
then you certainly should consider him as a #1 or #2 pick.

Possibility 1: The league has a rule that someone can only be kept for X number
of years (say 3)

actually the team that had ARod dropped out of the league.
